Law school... law school... law school... Very little time to do anything other than study. Very sad I know. Things will get better soon enough. New music due Summer of 2005!!!

News~ 7/15/04

I have finally gained a standing gig on Thursday nights at the Hotel Northampton from 6-10 on their outside patio. Special thanks to the hotel for putting their faith in my musical abilities! Since a standing gig is a musician's dream, I have much to be thankful for.

Also, Wednesday, July 28th I will be featured as an opener at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA. I will be warming up the stage for Common Rotation and Corn Mo. Yet another great opportunity to ply my musical wares!

Finally, law school begins in mid-August and I couldn't be more excited. Music pursuits will be slowing down just a bit, but don't be suprised to see me out and about in the clubs every now and again, or at least raving on the streets of Northampton (maybe even with my guitar!).

News~ 4/14/04

Well, on April 9th we took Bishop's Lounge in Northampton, MA by storm. We made some new friends and gained some new band members. Special thanks to Irene Shaikley for her stirring vocals and percussion expertise. Further appreciation to Tony Mazzola and Greg Lenkowski for jamming out as the horn section.

On the downside, our passionate performance incited a chair throwing incident in which someone was afflicted with euphopric insanity. Their only explanation was "I couldn't help it... the music just got inside me!". I have never had my tunes incite violent behavior before so I don't know whether to take this as a compliment or a criticism. I suppose I will just chalk it up in the inetresting band stories journal.

I'm playing a private party on Saturday Night so check back next week for even more new pictures.

News~ 3/15/04

Well it took a little longer than I thought to get back into the swing of things...

That being said life is rolling along nicely (Knock on wood here. Last time I reflected on my fortuitous situation someone flushed and jiggled the handle on my life.). I've got some gigs coming in and I'm in touch with musicians both new and familliar to accompany me on my musical adventures. Everything is gonna' be all right.

News~ 12/3/03

So it has been a long, crazy adventure since I last wrote any news about music. I've been through some bad times as of late... But as one friend of mine so wisely observed "It sure makes for some great artistic inspiration!".

The Benny Mann Band has taken on a radically more loose status of affiliation it seems. What a great summer though. Lots of shows, lots of laughs, lots of success. I remarked to my mother in August that things were going so great that I couldn't possibly be happier. I should have held my tongue...

So here I am five or so months later. Regretful for certain choices... Wiser for others... But overall thankful that I can still grab my guitar and feel that soothing and passionate comfort of bronze strings beneath my fingers as a pick out an emotion.

The future is here and I think I'm ready for it, with all its promise and uncertainty, smiles and sorrow, triumph and crushing defeat.

I stumbled from the summit and tumbled into the valley... Now its time to pick another mountain Maestro.
