The Wrong Side

When I returned from New York City in January of 2001 I was very much in recovery from the loss of my self and the disillusion I had experienced following the end of my college career. I had moved to the city for all the wrong reasons and experienced a painful clash with the questions of my existence for all the right reasons. I didn’t know what to do next but I did know I had figured out some things during my time away from my home.

This song is really an affirmation of my renewed devotion to my beliefs and a promise that I will never sway from my ideals again. I wrote this at a time when I needed to assure myself that mistakes are not binding unless we make them that way.
